Gaming Realms Acquires Bingo Port

There’s no denying that Bingo Port is one of the biggest and best known gaming portals in the bingo industry, with many using it as their go-to for all things bingo. This month the bingo giant was recently acquired by Gaming Realms, so things are looking positive for the future of the brand.

Gaming Realms has taken over Blueberra Holdings, the company that owns Bingo Port and which is the holding company for Digital Blue, having acquired the Isle of Man based bingo directory for a reported £10.5 million in August 2014. Around £6 million of the purchase price was raised through the issue of 18.1 million new shares issued by Gaming Realms for just 33p each.

You may not recognise the name Gaming Realms straight away but it is an established name in the i-gaming industry, as the company behind big gaming brands like Bingo Godz, Bejig, Castle Jackpot, Alchemy Bet and Total Gold. Gaming Realms also recently acquired Quick Think Media and has a number of the big Cashcade names in their contact book.

Bingo Port is a fantastic bingo directory site with a passion for the game that’s shared through information, news and more. You can even sign up to the Bingo Port website for a free membership which will automatically award you with £100 in free bingo cash, emailed to you upon sign up! With Bingo Port’s contacts you can also expect exclusive offers to be emailed to you every week, giving you great deals at over 100 different UK bingo sites. Plus loyal members are rewarded with some great non-bingo prizes too, like shopping vouchers, cinema tickets and special invite only events.

But what do members at Bingo Port do? Well they can enjoy free bingo round the clock in cheerful bingo rooms, to win more bingo bucks and vouchers, and they can work their way through some of the gaming world’s most popular online slots, all for free for Bingo Port members!

It certainly looks very appealing to any bingo fan, and it’s understandable why Gaming Realms would want to acquire such an amazing site. Patrick Southon, the Chief Executive of Gaming Realms is certainly very positive about the whole affair in terms of how it can help their brand. He spoke about the acquisition saying:

‘Blueberra Holdings will boost our product and marketing initiatives to target the fast growing and overlapping audiences using mobile and tablet platforms which in turn will help to accelerate the group’s future revenue growth.’

So it’s clear that Gaming Realms see Bingo Port as a definite money maker for them, using advanced technology and spreading the word about their existing products. However it’s also clear that the purchase of Bingo Port places another huge brand under the Gaming Realms belt, which is sure to enhance the overall position of the company in the online gaming market.

One thing that remains to be seen though is the impact this will have on the products and services delivered by Bingo Port. Can we now expect bigger and better things from the site? Will there be better offers available to players or any great new games or services that players can get hold of every day? One thing is for sure, only time will tell!
